Kayaking:
The Keys are a great place to kayak. If you bring your own or rent one, paddling around the mangrove forests should not be missed. There are many great places to kayak in the area; here are four of our favorites.

- John Pennekamp state park, MM 102, (Good) You can rent a Kayak from the park and just paddle around the park. It is fun for an afternoon. There is lots of fish life around the park.

- Community Harbor, MM 92, (Good) You can get to this harbor from our beach. It has lots of canals into the mangrove forest and small islands to paddle around.

- Robbie's Marina, MM 77, (Great) Paddle under large canopies of mangroves, with winding canals. Lots of fish and bird life. From here it is an easy paddle to Indian Key. This is the old site of a 1830s wrecker’s settlement. These activities are must do for the kayakers.

- Bahia Honda State Park, MM 39, (Great) Paddle down the coastline following one the best beaches in the Keys. It has a beautiful coastline surrounded by clear, clean waters. There are also nesting water birds in the area.
